Completed in 2020, This project was a challenge due to its aggressive schedule and wide scope.  The project consisted of design and construction of three conjoined pre-engineered metal building packages. The28,634 ft² project houses an office, processing plant, packaging plant and warehouse building. The process building was 5 levels and topped out at 83’ high and was an addition to a previous Con-Tech project which was 31,564ft² and 51’ high. Scopes of work included piling, concrete, building design/ fabrication/ & erection, full building envelope, doors, windows, fire suppression, mechanical, electrical, and site development. Con-Tech also completed the interior concrete and prep required to accommodate the owner supplied equipment being delivered. Managing the schedule was a critical component to the success of the project – coordination with the owner was crucial regarding timing of building completion with the arrival of their food processing equipment. Project took place through both summer and winter months. Our safety team and field operations staff devised solutions to overcome the challenges and keep the schedule on track, and on time. Con-Tech crews performed concrete, steel erection, cladding and carpentry scopes, enabling completion as scheduled. Con-Tech has been part of ongoing construction on this site since it was an open field.
